R.J. Ronquillo is a professional guitarist, recording artist, educator, and longtime YouTube creator known for his versatile playing across a wide range of musical styles. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has performed and recorded with artists including Santana, Stevie Wonder, Ricky Martin, Chaka Khan, 2Pac, Stone Sour, Corey Taylor, and others.

RJ built his career as both a session and touring guitarist before becoming widely recognized in the online guitar community. He began creating guitar demonstration videos in the early 2010s, eventually developing a YouTube channel focused on guitar gear, lessons, performances, and behind-the-scenes content.

Today, RJ’s channel has grown to over 200,000 subscribers and more than 30 million views, and his playing has become familiar to guitarists around the world through his work with guitar, amplifier, pedal, and music-technology brands.

As an educator, RJ brings the same practical, musical approach he has developed through years of recording, touring, and professional playing to his guitar courses. Rather than focusing solely on exercises and theory, his lessons emphasize phrasing, feel, tone, vocabulary, and the real-world techniques that help players sound more confident and musical.

Whether he’s demonstrating a new piece of gear, breaking down a blues phrase, or sharing lessons learned from life as a working guitarist, RJ’s goal is simple: help players develop their own voice and have more fun playing guitar.
